Report details Illinois campaign finances

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform and Crain’s Chicago Business have teamed up to detail the amount of campaign finances each candidate for Illinois’ governor, U.S. Senate and Cook County Board president have accumulated going into the Feb. 2 primary.
Leading the Democrats for governor was Dan Hynes with $7,112,438.52, who lost the primary election to Governor Pat Quinn. Quinn had accumulated $6,010,378.25 before the primary election. Bill Brady, winner of the Republican nod for governor, recorded $1,111,157.06 in campaign finances, while Kirk W. Dillard recorded $2,280,761.70.
Democrat and Alexander Giannoulias recorded $3,013,50.98 in campaign finances before his win in the primary election for the U.S. Senate.
Mark Kirk accumulated $4,872,005.67 in campaign finances before winning the Republican nod in the primary election for the U.S. Senate.
Democrat Toni Preckwinkle accumulated $1,393.766.76 in campaign finances before winning her party’s spot in the primary election for Cook County Board president. Republican Roger Keats recorded $18,624.00 in campaign finances.
